Hey there, beautiful souls! I’m Mimi, and I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome you to my little corner of the internet—Rhythmic Journey. 🌟
I’m not your average blogger (is anyone, really?), and my life has been anything but typical. Growing up with autism has been a wild, unpredictable, and sometimes challenging ride, but it’s also been filled with so much learning, growth, and unexpected joy. There were days in school where I felt like an alien trying to decode a strange new world, and people didn’t always get me. But guess what? I persevered. I’m proud to say I made it to college, and graduated from Kent University with a degree in English and History. Talk about a plot twist, right? 📚🎓
Now, I’m here, on this blog, ready to share my journey with all of you. “Rhythmic Journey” is all about the beautiful beats and melodies of life—sometimes fast, sometimes slow, but always moving forward. Whether it’s the sweet strum of my guitar (yes, I’m a bit obsessed with my guitars and recording music), the rhythm of historical events that have shaped our world, or the syncopated beats of living with autism and finding my own unique groove—I’m here to explore it all.
Music has been my constant companion, and I can’t wait to share some of my creations with you. Maybe even some of my shy little poems will make an appearance (gulp!). And because life isn’t all about just getting by, I’ll also dive into lifestyle topics, from navigating dietary issues to recipes I love or want to try, and the ups and downs of being involved with the YMCA, where I’ve met some truly incredible people.
This blog is my space to connect, reflect, and maybe even help someone out there who’s walking a similar path. If I’ve learned anything, it’s that life is better when we share our stories, and that even when things seem tough, there’s always a melody to be found if you just listen closely enough.
So, grab a cup of tea (or coffee, I don’t judge), sit back, and let’s embark on this rhythmic journey together. I’m so glad you’re here. 💖
With love and endless beats,
Mimi 🎸
